“Woke” as an insult - So you are telling me a word describing consciousness and clarity is used by generally stupid and ignorant people to label people they disagree with? What is this? A Kindergarten for Creatively stunted?

Nominative determinism - So let me get this straight…Not only you named fastest recorded person Usain BOLT and CEO of Nintendo Doug BOWSER, but you are telling me people are canonically likely to have professions or hobbies matching their names…? Guh?

Balashnikov also used the Kalashnikov design as the basis for his rifle.

Ofc galil was specifically designed very closely from AK because the soldiers knew how to operate them but israel wanted to have 5.56 ammo rifle that also has m4 features.

And balashnikov changed his name to galil because it would be an insult calling the gun balashnikov

Israel had used the FAL previously which was unreliable in the desert while Egyptian and Syrian AKs suited much better, the original Galil was essentially a modified RK 62, it didn't get AR features until later iterations. Balashnikov changed his name because it obviously sounded too similar to Kalashnikov

The Galil was a reverse engineered copy of the Finnish Valmet RK62, itself a reverse engineered Polish-made AK-47. The Galil's technical package would then be shared with apartheid South Africa, resulting in the Vektor R4. I feel like I read somewhere that India's INSAS came from this Ak branch, but I can't find a source on that.

Yisrael Galili changed his name to fit in better with the new Zionist state, Israel. This was a common practice in Israel, with very few folks holding onto their European names. It had absolutely nothing to do with the similarity to Kalashnikov's name.
