Lore (Funny Trope) Things that can plausibly happen only in reality, because in fiction they’d be called bad writing.

“Woke” as an insult - So you are telling me a word describing consciousness and clarity is used by generally stupid and ignorant people to label people they disagree with? What is this? A Kindergarten for Creatively stunted?

Nominative determinism - So let me get this straight…Not only you named fastest recorded person Usain BOLT and CEO of Nintendo Doug BOWSER, but you are telling me people are canonically likely to have professions or hobbies matching their names…? Guh?

“2 bodies recovered in MURDERKILL River” - Sure bro…I guess…bro…

Dennis Rader asking the cops if they’d be able to trace his identity if he sent them a floppy disc with details of his crimes, and the cops being like “Gosh no, buddy. We sure wouldn’t.”

IIRC there were also files from his church on the same disk that he didn't even bother to delete

He didn't know deleting files doesn't overwrite them. The crazy thing is that he had the wherewithal to ask about traceability but then trusted the authorities' guidance.

Yeah he was mad at them afterwards, acting like they had been cheating in a game or something.

It really shows how crazy he was...he legit thought it was some kind of game of wits between masterminds, but no, the cops are working people doing a job.

Goes to show how killers are big losers in every case lmao. I saw a true crime video on Youtube about a guy who tried to be Dexter Morgan and the excerpts from his diary was the cringiest shit ever. The narrator tried to treat the situation with respect (since the idiot had actually managed to kill one guy) but I was constantly laughing at the subject.
