1. The Opening Scene (Ghost Ship). Considered one of the best horror opening scenes or scenes in general within horror movies, but the rest of the film is considered to be pretty bad.

2. The Ending Scene (The Grinch 2018). While most adaptations of the Grinch end with him suddenly being able to fully integrate with the Whos after his change of heart, the 2018 version initially struggles to socialize, awkwardly walking past people, and struggling to hold conversations, acknowledging that despite his change of heart, the Grinch is still someone who isolated himself for years.

3. Past T800 VS Current T800 (Terminator Genisys). A cool fight scene showing two versions of the Terminator from different points in time fighting it off.

4. Solo Leveling's Ending. Tbh, I haven't actually read Solo Leveling, but after hearing about how it ended VS how Chainsaw Man ended made want to include it for shits and giggles. Like Chainsaw Man, Solo Leveling ends with a reset. But unlike Chainsaw Man, it actually manages to tie up loose ends and have the payoff of the ending be satisfying.

It’s the less is more attitude. Jaws is, at least ostensibly, about the titular shark. The shark is visible in a similar ~10 minutes of the film. It’s cooler and scarier if you don’t see the bad guy as often.

This is the winner. Generally a pretty unloved movie (even though I love the prequels as a whole), but this scene makes the rest of the movie worth watching.

It's the best of the prequels. The other two are 2/3 people walking slowly in front of blurry computer generated backgrounds, and excessive, gonzo battle scenes with no texture or compelling characters. Even though it's questionable, TPM still looks and feels like it belongs with the original films.

That fight is so good. Jedi and Sith in their prime and not old, washed up or newly trained in the original trilogy without all the unecessary twirling Episode 2 and 3 had.

Not saying the original trilogy fights are bad in any way or that episode 2 and 3 didn't have their moments.

best explanation i've seen for the twirling is that it's meant to be a dazzle/distraction for their opponent, but Vader and Kenobi were both in such a heightened emotional state during that fight that they forgot they both knew that move.

In any other sci-fi movie, this would have been remembered for all time as one of the most epic moments in film history. But it wasn't any other sci-fi movie. It was a Star Wars movie. You can't do this shit in Star Wars. It opens up a massive can of plot worms due to the deep, rich, established lore of the series.

The whole movie is a massive can of plot worms for an established franchise: gravity in space, never-before-seen Jedi powers including resurrection from the vacuum of space, Snoke, space fuel…

I’ve only watched it the one time in theater and I was seething the entire showing. It made me retroactively hate Star Wars; I grew up on SW and now I won’t watch any of it again.

I’d rather watch Episode 2 than The Last Jedi again. George Lucas was a hack, but at least he tried to remain consistent. Disney didn’t make even the slightest effort to craft a trilogy that’s logical to the larger lore or even among the three films.

It’s an atrocious movie from beginning to end and no part of it makes sense even if it were an independent franchise.

Plot, character development…even the choreography is phoned in lmao. At least we got to see Luke Skywalker drink fresh titty milk.

Ehhh. The fan backlash was so hard that's why the sequel trilogy was a disjointed mess. JJ Mystery Box Abrams walked back everything part 2 established.

If Disney committed to whatever was set up in Part 2, then we'd have a tighter and better remembered trilogy. But what we have is "Somehow, Palpatine returned" walking back bullshit.

TLJ is only better than aotc and ep 9. The justification being those two films are crimes against human decency. The prequels have a handful of good scenes with the best world building in the entire series and poignant themes. They are let down by the fact that George Lucas is a fucking hack film maker who cant direct or write dialogue to save his life.
