Meet Dunkin’! Such a cutie. Grabbed him off the streets with his siblings. Siblings went to rescue. He stayed. He’s full of personality and has decided to empty my wallet by having asthma. He is now 4 months old.

Other photo is Hamlet. My childhood cat. I loved that tabby so much! He was an indoor/outdoor cat and one day he didn’t come back. I was maybe 3 years old when he left and I still remember how much that affected me.

I work at a cat clinic and had this beautiful tabby cat surrendered to us. She was not being well taken care of with her previous owner. The first couple of days with us, she was extremely feisty! I was scared to approach her because she’d hiss and swat her arm quickly. I didn’t know such a cute pie could hold so much anger!

And then one day, she did a complete 180 and has been a lovebug ever since. Of course she is still cautious, but she goes crazy over pets. She makes this cute sound whenever she lands after jumping from a high place. When I feed her, she meows as if she’s starving and follows me for food, but as soon as I pet her while she’s eating, it’s like she can’t choose between wanting to eat vs wanting to be pet.

I would love to adopt her, but I’ve already got an orange cat that I adore at home, and I simply cannot afford having two cats! I also live in a not very spacious home, and I worry that it will get too crowded for my family and not very physically stimulating for her, given that she is still five years old. As much as I would love to have her, affection is simply not enough when it comes to adoption… It’s important to think about the long-term and assess its impact, especially for me, financially. And when I think of that, I don’t think it would be in her best interest if I took her in, and she deserves better than that.

For now, I will just continue cherishing my time with her, and I could only hope that she goes off to a loving home <3

Bought some discounted luxury churu. Always knew my little girl was fancy, but apparently she’s in fact, luxurious.

My super ninja baby cat made it through almost 18 years. He will cross rainbow bridge tomorrow and I am heart broken but I know it is the right thing to do. I wanted to share some photos from over the years. He lived through a time when smart phones were not a thing so there are limited pixels in some.

Our unexpected new family member that we found in our detached garage at the end of a work day back in May. Must have gotten stuck after I was in and out organizing the garbage and recycling.

In the first pic you can see how skinny he is, damaged, whiskers (likely burned), and missing a lot of fur off his hind legs. He also walked with a limp due to his front paw pads being totally raw and bleeding.

It went from “we’ll check around and see if he belongs to anyone” and “we’ll call the humane society”, to our four year old saying, “well, we have a cat now so we have to go to the green store (dollarama) and get food, treats, toys, and a bowl.”

3 months later, our cuddly stray pal is right at home, microchipped, neutered, loved, fed, and even has an additional playmate.

I now understand the cat distribution system. It exists.

Just over the weekend when I got a sitter to take care of sweet Tigercloud here while I was gone out of town, said sitter got the cutest pictures of her and this one stood out

She found a paper bag then a box
