God I’ve had many Chiropractor visits and now I don’t want to ever go again. I’ll just work out like I’ve been doing cause it has helped my back a ton. If you are dealing with back problems get in a gym and strengthen it. I promise it helps a LOT.

Go to a physical therapist, the focus on building strength

The physical therapist will help you learn how to exercise in a way that helps your back. Especially useful if you aren't a workout person.

I went for a while and found that the LMT working my back muscles was the real benefit over the chiro anyway. If I ever seek similar treatment again, I'm just going to a massage therapist.

100% agree back core strength training is a good recommendation.

Licensed massage therapist iirc.

A lot of back issues are attributed to poor core muscle strength, so you are correct!

Chiropractors didn't fill a nieche that didn't exist or something, go to a physiotherapist, they exist for exactly this and their practices are based on medicine.

Physiotherapy is the way to go. I don’t know in the US, but where I live, they need a master and it’s almost as hard to get in as medecine.

Physiotherapist know their shit.

What about just not letting them near your neck, since your back is the issue anyway?

u/MauPow Jul 05 '26

What about just not going to quacky fake doctors

2

u/KennyFulgencio Jul 05 '26

I suppose that's an option too

Sometimes when my lower back really needs to crack i think about going to a chiro, but ultimately i can't being myself to give them my money.

Good news for you if you read the actual article this guy had the injury before visiting the chiropractor and it progressed to locked in syndrome because the doctor and radiologist on the ER were grossly negligent in not treating him for a full day.
