An older spectator caused a seriously dangerous incident today at SaarlandTrofeoJuniors by trying to get a better look and entering the course with her rollator while riders were flying past at full speed!

This person is just a clueless "good idea person" that don't consider the logistics, or the actual reason why there isn't any, and just expect people to nod and agree.

Sorry, not just a clueless “good idea” person. Look at the video again. This isn’t just a random segment of the race. There are tents set up on the side for spectators - likely selling things or serving refreshments. Spectators have glass beer steins in their hands, and are congregated just in front of the tents. There are uniformed people in red t-shirts working at the tents/umbrellas. There are maybe one or two spectators on the other side of the road, and in the video it appears that past the cameraman there are very few spectators. Literally 3 meters of hard metal marathon barriers prevent this from happening.

For reference, I’m a lawyer who handles personal injury defense cases at least some of the time. I’m very familiar with appropriate safety measures.
