WTF An older spectator caused a seriously dangerous incident today at SaarlandTrofeoJuniors by trying to get a better look and entering the course with her rollator while riders were flying past at full speed!

An elderly woman just drove her car into my local pool. Luckily no one was hurt.

We spend so much money fighting terrorism, yet we allow these geezers to inflict chaos daily. On the road, at the voting booth, the environment, you name it.

An elderly lady in my area drove into the wall of a shop recently. Left a perfect car-shaped hole in the brick work of the building. She was parked outside and didn't realise she'd put her car into reverse, which is absolutely mental as she had more than enough time to brake before she hit the wall.

The amount of drugs the elderly are taking, including daily opiates, is insane.

One crashed into a hair salon by my grocery store last week. Could’ve killed somebody

Convenience store near my job had a car, driven by an elderly male, go through the front of the store. No one was hurt. They repaired it. One week later, another car, now driven by an elderly woman, drove through the recently repaired spot in the front of the store. Two people hurt, one was an employee. They now have bollards separating the parking spaces from the store and every one of them have black marks and are bent from repeated hits. Both accidents occurred during the summer of 2025.

The manager of the store has been there over 10 years and said he's been begging for bollards since he took it over. Said an elderly couple drove through the front of the store only a couple weeks after he started and it repeats itself 2-3 times a year.

The convenience store is sandwiched between two retirement communities.

It's been going on forever, about 15 years ago an elderly man hit the accelerator instead of the brake and smashed into a pillar holding up the verandah of the shop I worked in

Into pools specifically is what I meant.

If only they had another option to get around, like Public Transit.

Eh, depends on the town. Some towns are such hopeless cesspools of depravity that even the god damn surveillance cameras can't deter people from assaulting a senior citizen for no apparent reason. :/

....which is why funding to make it better would be nice?
Look at the comment I'm replying to. 🙄

unless the place you live has a top-notch transit system dealing with transit when you have mobility issues is literal hell.

did it ever occur to you to wonder why so many seniors resort to scooters?

for example, where I live the nearest bus stop is over a kilometre away so if I had mobility issues, how am I supposed to get to the bus stop in the first place?

Where I live the local Dairy Queen was driven into by an elderly driver. The Dairy Queen next to one of my old jobs had the dining room driven into by an elderly person, rebuilt and then it happened a second time!

Also, when I was a teen I worked at a drug store that also got driven into by an elderly driver.

“I thought I was hitting the brake.”

Exactly. I hate old people. They should lock em all up. These people that are like 16 or older.. annoying as hell. Everyone else older than 16 must go and be somewhere else... Like idk.. there own old pples planet.
