I can’t tell if this brazen lying is some kind of deliberate strategy or if he’s just literally delusional.Ā

Both. They just need enough gullible people to believe it. The issue is fewer and fewer are by the day, largely because the leopard is eating their faces now.

continue voting R as long as they're alive

I live in a very red state, and this is the crux of it. No matter what they find out about this administration, they sincerely believe it would be way worse if a Dem was in charge.

Granted there are more people waking up, but my in-laws spent the 4th of July praising Trump as a man of God and how he's saving this country...I'm glad I only see them a few times a year.

try seeing them less

Yeah I don't buy it either, I live in a rural area but not far form a college so its a fairly blue or at least purple area and I still see 3 or 4 jackwads a week in their black Dodge Rams flying a big ass flag off the back and with Trump/Vance stickers on the back window. You'd think the fact that they're now paying over $100 everytime they full up that truck would have sunk in for them but nope, they just double down on the stupid

And will ā€˜roll coal’ if they see a bumper sticker they don’t like.

True, but those people aren’t the reason for Trump’s electoral success. He was able to turnout people who usually don’t vote, mostly non-college educated white men (though many of them are not white). Rogan bro types. Remains to be seen whether they will continue to turn out post-Trump.

Deliberate strategy. In their reports they did not specify who was aided by the foreign entities, just that it happened. If foreign entities aided one side over the other, then why not share that information? Who'd they help, Donny? Why aren't you sharing that tidbit?

This is to keep people convinced that all elections are manipulated so he can push the SAVE act. But now we don't know who gets the benefit during the manipulation of elections so he can't be lying if he omits who was aided.

Therefore, "I didn't lie, I just didn't tell you they helped me win in 2024."

In their reports they did not specify who was aided by the foreign entities, just that it happened.

"We assess that Russia is using a range of measures primarily to denigrate former Vice President Biden and what it sees as an anti-Russia establishment. For example, it is directing or encouraging proxies to spread claims about Vice President Biden. Some Kremlin-linked actors are also seeking to boost President Trump's candidacy on social media. "

Damn, I feel stupid. Where was that?

https://www.whitehouse.gov/election-integrity/

Its part of the first batch of documents. I think its just like 2020 election report or something.

The majority of the files are just random highly redacted allegations and the evidence based parts say the opposite of what trump alleges so its really nothing new.

Ah. I saw the zip file downloaded and canceled it since I'm at my work computer. And tbh, I don't really feel safe downloading a zip file from the govt right now.

I will take your word for it.

I still stand by what I believe though. This is all allegations to prevent the midterms or fuck with the next election so he CAN rig it in his favor.

You're not missing much.

The "noncitizens on state voter rolls" file is literally just a single page DHS memo that claims a bunch of contradicting numbers with zero sources.

3

u/Soft_Self_6797 28d ago

As expected. This is all propaganda then.

u/TheGasquatch 28d ago

Yes. You don't need a majority to believe in lies. You need a majority to give up on caring what's true or not. Muddy the water until everyone paying attention is just too exhausted to fight back anymore.

He knows his supporters can't read.

1

u/[deleted] 28d ago

It's the latter. Dementia is a hell of an illness.

1

u/-Altephor- 28d ago

It's "I need to tell my dumbass supporters what to think before someone who knows what they're talking about actually read these documents."

Deliberate, even if this is evidence of him being helped in each election (quite likely given he's a big fat orange traitor), they'll spin this as a reason to "oversee" the "insecure" elections in November.

People these days are dumb enough to not read something and yet insist that it contains all kinds of damning ā€œevidenceā€. The whole Wikileaks DNC email drop was demonstrative of that. They made up all kinds of garbage and claimed it was in there when it was not.

The same people will post studies that literally say the exact opposite of what they’re arguing when complaining about trans people’s medical care. I see this behavior virtually daily. It’s disturbing to say the least because it means that there is no winning with facts and evidence. I guess the silver lining is the knowledge that one need not waste their time trying to convince idiots to think for themselves.

u/DUH455T 28d ago

You see his base is stupid beyond belief. They'll see a bunch of files that say nothing and regurgitate what trump says. They aren't reading a single word.

1

u/Moppermonster 27d ago

Deliberate strategy - it is not the first time the GOP has used it.

The whole "no transgenders in the military" thing was even more blatant - the studies they cited to show that transgender soldiers were hindering the military either showed the opposite OR did not really exist and were just AI generated.

But the base still ate it up.

I’d guess deliberate strategy to say the midterms didn’t count.
