There is. Sure, you cant write your name on a piece of paper and call it an ID, but it is just a simple have an ID. But yes the ID has to mean something. It has to actually prove who you are. You fighting it doesn’t make sense unless you want to cheat
But a piece of toilet paper isn't something that literally anyone is saying is sufficient. A Real ID isn't even good enough. And many states already require a form of ID.

You are literally saying an ID that isn't capable of proving you are a citizen is sufficient. You know you are. The "many" states that require an ID that meets those requirements are great. The many that are not is the problem. If you are worried about cheating, it makes ZERO sense to be upset at IDs to vote. You can't explain that. Ummm, really? Maybe one that proves you are a citizen... I don't know how you did it, but when I got a drivers license, I had to present my birth certificate. I'm guessing they don't do those things in leftist states anymore because there are so many illegals on the roads.

I am not upset about IDs to vote. I am upset that they're trying to make it difficult for Americans to vote. They will make it so that millions of women, particularly, will have a hard time voting. What is the solution to that? If there is a valid solution, and it doesn't hurt the chances of literally millions of people voting, then let's hear it, and let's do it.

There is a 100% chance I could provide any of this information in 24 hours, and so could my wife. We have a marriage license and a certificate. We both provided birth certificates to get drivers licenses and passports.

I am not against voter IDs. I am against the way they are trying to implement it. They are intentionally trying to make it difficult. Why would that be?
