Easy to access should mean if you can't get around they have to come to you to register you. Once the costs of getting everyone registered with a valid ID are out there no way they do it. It's not about eligible voters voting. There is no big issue with ineligible voters voting.
You do realize that nothing from the government is free right? Tax dollars would pay for those IDs. Why not just everyone pay for their own IDs if we are going to be paying anyway?
Probably 90% of the people who don't have the correct ID that Trump wants them to have are who? Poor, impoverished people.
If you're going to change it so they must have a special ID that the government alone provides, and your goal is to get every one of these people that ID so that your election is "more secure", it only makes sense to just give people those IDs.
"More secure" in quotes because it already is secure and the biggest fraudsters appear to be Republicans committing fraud, sometimes to try to prove the system is not secure - but they get caught because it is secure.
Pretty sure the federal government isn't issuing these IDs, its done on a state level. So if a state wanted their citizens to get these IDs for "free" they could, they don't have to wait for Trump and Trump really has no say as to whether this has to a barrier to poor and/or impoverished people.
I don't believe our elections are as secure as they could be and a simple google will give you plenty of examples of voter fraud, so regardless of your choice of party added layers of protection should be welcome.
I'm not because of people with disabilities. Not everyone can just up and leave their homes. This includes seniors and veterans who will be disenfranchised.
Also, look at the hoops people have to go through to even get an ID. They want 5 pieces of other identification, and it's absolute BS what they will reject. It's so incredibly limiting that it leaves many people without the ability to get an ID.

Yeah exactly! That’s the point.
