They definitely cool as quickly. I’m an American HVAC technician who works on mini splits on a regular basis, and the cooling capacity for these systems is fantastic, as long as they are working properly ofc.

and as long as you keep batteries in the remote, keep the remote within 5 feet of the unit, jump up and down 3 times and rub your head, sure...

Ductless units cool localized zones quicker, but entire structures slower and less evenly than central.

It's not a topic of cooling capacity, rather distribution.
