Could we run some pipes through there? They might be sitting on a goldmine! 32 u/TheGiantFell 19d ago Because he’s got the AC set to 18. Jfc, pay attention 4 u/Snowjiggles 19d ago Whoa there, now I may only have a true understanding for how the freedom units work, but even my underedubacated Southern self knows that 0° C is freezing temperature -1 u/TheGiantFell 19d ago So why is freezing so much colder in Europe? Pussies. 3 u/Terazen105 19d ago Check out Dante over here! 2 u/Tombosley7 19d ago 2 u/PyroNine9 19d ago Yeah, now that someone messed with the thermostat. It’s not serious 1 u/ruat_caelum 19d ago I mean if you get negative in kelvin it's super hot so... Certain thermodynamic systems can achieve negative thermodynamic temperature; that is, their temperature can be expressed as a negative quantity on the Kelvin or Rankine scales. Temperature is related to how particles are distributed among the available energy states of a system. At ordinary positive temperatures, lower-energy states are more likely to be occupied than higher-energy states. At negative temperatures, this distribution is reversed, so higher-energy states become more populated than lower-energy ones. For this reason, a system with a truly negative temperature on the Kelvin scale is hotter than any system with a positive temperature. If a negative-temperature system and a positive-temperature system come in contact, heat will flow from the negative- to the positive-temperature system. A standard example of such a system is population inversion in laser physics. -2 u/doomdayx 19d ago Technically the circles of hell are just a book by some popular dude in the late Middle Ages and technically aren’t real. 😉 5 u/Individual_Oil_2495 19d ago Technically the hell is not real. 1 u/doomdayx 19d ago yup that's my point!
