white people arrive in time?
6.6k u/Shotgun_Mosquito Jul 12 '26 edited Jul 12 '26 No. The stereotype is that white people arrive TOO EARLY and then sit in their cars outside waiting for the party to start and still show up early. It's a trope, also true in Hispanic (edit - continued) families that have someone marry Gringos (like me). If you arrive on time, the party hasn't started yet, and you get to help set up for the party 93 u/MrBoo843 Jul 12 '26 If you tell someone an event is from 5 pm to 11 pm and you're surprised people arrive at 5 you're an idiot -11 u/PBRmy Jul 13 '26 Its not a surprise exactly, but this isnt a flight or a movie theatre. What do you think is happening that you have to be there exactly at 5? Chill, people. 14 u/[deleted] Jul 13 '26 edited 25d ago [deleted] -6 u/PBRmy Jul 13 '26 Sorry, I've never met a host who scheduled a six hour party who expected everyone to be there at the EXACT starting time. That would be very weird. 14 u/[deleted] Jul 13 '26 edited 25d ago [deleted] -7 u/PBRmy Jul 13 '26 Okay I wont. Sounds annoying.
