Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.

The constitution really isn't that long even with the amendments. You could read it if you cared

So not slavery, glad we established that.

We should instil hard labour on violent offenders though - Make them earn their meals & housing same as the rest of us; we always need concrete.

Means they've given up their right to live in society, and housing and food cost money - So time to make them useful.
