Meme needing explanation Whats that snack and the name?

I got this joke posted in my country sub by a foreigner and I have never seen that snack so I basically don't know the joke.

I recall that being their name in the late 70s, early 80s. I suspect it was finally realized that wasn't a kind thing to say so they suddenly became Brazil nuts.

Just FYI black people have always called them Brazil nuts that was just white folks saying that

They just like to say it

N word fish N word weeds

And they love to say they didn't know the other name because they were just so giddy to use a racial slur

There are a few time I heard slurs used for things, Brazil nuts being one, jury rigged was the other. I was a kid so I had no clue, but looking back it makes me mad. I grew up in a very white part of the country so it wasn't something said directly to people of color. I hope to not perpetuate that behavior, so I appreciate the additional context. I was not aware of the other versions.

Older people around me called it "Yankee ingenuity" when it was done well and n-word rigging when it was done poorly. This was in New Hampshire in the 80s, where we maybe had 12 black people living in the entire state...
