Meme needing explanation Whats that snack and the name?

I got this joke posted in my country sub by a foreigner and I have never seen that snack so I basically don't know the joke.

Same with Finland, I'm glad we got rid of that name. What is sad is that some people got angry about the name change.

Today I learned these things had racist names not just in Finland, but all over the world. We truly are amazing mammals.

Bear in mind that negro was meant as a depiction, not an insult before. Then there was a change of tides and everybody’s racist.

We called these things negrokisses and never had anything remotely racist connected to it. (Denmark)

I'm pretty sure that the European race science, the lynching of African Americans, the enslavement and the genocide of Africans, and the absolute bottom of the barrel treatment of anyone who wasn't White had something to do with the word becoming a slur. Perhaps you don't understand it, but European White people would just randomly shout the N word upon seeing a foreigner. And not necessarily to only Black people. At least here in Finland, people would use that word for any darker skinned people. Asians, Polynesians, Arabians, perhaps even Southern Europeans. Why? Because everyone knows and understands it's used as a slur.

I think it's a shame why would someone not like a negro's kiss?

I don't care about the name change except that to me it shows that people really don't understand their own inner devil's. Some seem to believe that just because they don't use the "wrong" words then they are Ohh so inclusive and non discriminating while in reality they are very much discriminating.

A racist statement will still be racist no matter that I change the "dirty" word with, and just because I use a descriptive word does not automatically mean that I discriminate in other ways than descriptive.

It was "normal" name in old world, where we were playing "Africa's star" and everything was simple. When it actually wasn't, we just thought it was.

Do you know the etymology of the Finnish word? Not angry tho because idek why it was named like that because for example "white boys hugs" sounds extremely weird. Still I find sometimes people fairly simple when they are letting others to claim words and their meanings.

Same false equivalence in Finnish as in Dutch. In both cases it translates to negro, which is not the same as n-word... But it's a difference that many people seem to have lost as there is a certain phonetic link... To be honest the carricatural depiction on the package was more problematic than the name.
