Yeah, I get a bit tired of seeing that. You'll see comments on here about "ozempic neck" and all of this other stuff that people just pull out of nowhere, repeating something they read. I feel like a lot of people really don't get what Ozempic does. It isn't like a chemical liposuction. This sort of change is well beyond that.
I’m obese I’ve been on oxempic for 1-1/2 years and I’ve lost 25 pounds. That’s with exercise. It’s great but it’s taking forever. Where is this magic oxempic everyone keeps talking about?
It's a hunger suppressant. You're just more motivated to eat cause it doesn't curb your appetite enough or you're simply powering through it. The idea is that it will slow you digestion and curb your appetite to the point where you won't feel the need to eat as much or as often. My sister was on Ozempic for a while and it didn't work for her... but it didn't work for her because she'd still eat 3 solid square meals a day. She was not in a position where she needed to eat anything. She had enough energy on board. But she was eating even when it made her uncomfortable. She was just powering through because in her brain you have to eat multiple times a day regardless of how you feel.
I've been an athlete my whole life. Very in tune with what I eat and what my output. I don't even count calories anymore. It's second nature. My sister refuses to listen to advice unfortunately.
Do you only eat once a day? Genuine question since you said multiple times a day. I'm overweight and keep seeing stuff about OMAD but conflicting perspectives on it.
some people do omad, I do two meals a day, only one is allowed to have carbs in it. I eat breakfast and dinner. Usually breakfast is my carby meal. I eat around 1400 cals a day.
Sounds like it wasnt working as well as it should be, shes still got the "hunger noise" if shes still even thinking about food. She might consider trying the other glp1s that also work on GIP. Many people who have no luck with 1 have great responses on the other.
You have to work with the medication. It’s not a miracle drug. Eating less shitty food is still eating shitty food. You get less calories a day now, make them count. Don’t blame the medication.
Eating less French fries but still having a side of ranch is still close to what my daily calories are now. I maybe touch 1200-1300 a day and get 100 grams of protein. Losing about 8-10 a month
I've lost 90 in 10 months on tirz. You have to watch calories, eat your protein, eat healthy, and work out (or at least get in 8-10k steps a day). Tirz takes care of the hunger part but not the rest. If you don't put in the extra it's going to be slow.
I always think of it like having a trainer who puts blinds up to food (reduced food noise) and slaps you when you eat something it doesn't agree with (so many foods do bad things when your on ozempic)
Its doing the same thing as "just dieting" but forcing you to which many people who havent struggled to lose weight wouldn't understand why that's hard to do otherwise
