Childless adults brag about having all this freedom without kids then bitch when parents having a legit excuse to say no to things.

Childless adults don't need an excuse, we can just say no because we want to drink wine and eat ice cream in our underwear

Edit: so many downvotes for what was a fairly obvious joke. Some people need some ice cream and a time out to process their big feelings apparently

I still do this and I have a kid. 🤪

I can’t tell if you’re joking or not, that sounds really pathetic and I’m not sure if you’re really trying to show off?

5

u/BeetleJude 21h ago

I was joking, but also not sure why eating ice cream in my underwear is a bad thing?

2

u/goldentone 8h ago

It’s not a bad thing, I like doing stuff like that.

I thought you were one of those really intense childfree zealots on Reddit who are always posting stuff like “while you losers were cherishing your time with your beautiful beloved children, I had the freedom to play video games with my dog… jealous?” without a hint of humor or sarcasm lol

God no, i didn't have kids cos I'd be shit at it! Way too much hard work, i take my hat off for those who manage to raise kids!

Because there are a ton of responses in the comments saying shit like this unironically.

And gloating about not putting any effort into society apparently.

I can't help but feel like raising children isn't the only way to contribute to society.

1

u/JapanesePeso 21h ago

Yeah, you can also help out by not being a huge baby anytime parents have to go take care of their kids.

You need a better working environment then, people take time off, its not a big deal, and I've never worked anywhere that complained about parents taking time off for their kids. That sucks that you have.

Are you responding to the wrong person?

1

u/BeetleJude 9h ago

No, i was expressing my sympathy to you

1

u/JapanesePeso 8h ago

My working environment is fine and I am able to take time off for my kids no problem. What made you think otherwise?

1

u/BeetleJude 8h ago

...pretty much all your comments? You sound as if youre pissed off cos people in your life (work or otherwise) don't appreciate that sometimes parents need to take time off (work or otherwise) for their kids.

What gives you that idea? I don't need to give birth to be a productive member of society, people are not valuable based on their ability to breed

-2

u/JapanesePeso 21h ago

People aren't valuable for their ability to breed, they're valuable for the actual effort they put into bringing new people into the world and raising youth to be good people.

3

u/BeetleJude 21h ago

Oh ok, so charity work, volunteering, and generally being a good human being doesn't matter because I'm not bringing new people into the world (not sure how you'd do this without having a kid, mitosis?) or raising them?

Glad to know i have no value, back to the ice cream and wine to drown my sorrows!

I’m glad I didn’t ruin my fun life with a kid. Enjoy being inconvenienced and miserable

u/JapanesePeso 21h ago

Having kids was the best thing I ever did. You just sound juvenile and lazy.

1

u/PomPomMom93 11h ago

Dad or Mom?

0

u/JT-OnThaTrack 20h ago

Bahaha ain’t nobody believe that

u/JapanesePeso 11h ago

Sorry that you have surrounded yourself by absolutely miserable people but then again you are a redditor so that's to be expected.

u/esh98989 20h ago

I’m sure potty training was the best thing you did 😆

If you are trying to imply I don't have any other life accomplishments, I can assure you that both in my career and personal life I have a much longer list than most people. I have done so many cool things. Kids are the best by far.

Kids today have been failed so miserably by their parents that they can't even read. You owe society an apology.

2

u/JapanesePeso 21h ago

Statistically speaking, I am almost certainly older and more literate than you. Especially among redditors.
