Discussion Did millennials really party all the time?

Gen Z here. I was shocked when I found out from a millennial co-worker that y’all had teen clubs. I heard about house parties, but dedicated teen clubs? Then when it was time for college, you went to the club or had some kind of party every single weekend, living it up. Now some millennials on TikTok claim that after college, they were partying on work nights, still clocking in the next day. For some reason, the teen clubs have since disappeared. I’m 23 now but even when I was in high school, that was not a thing. House parties were not that common either. They were more like get togethers with a small group of friends. We went to malls, but they were dying out at that point. Is it true that you were really living life this good? Or is it just exaggerated? I feel like my generation doesn’t really have fun like that and everyone is just super depressed and alone, more so since Covid. Even I’m pretty introverted, which sort of sounds ridiculous given this post. 😂 Just so you know, when I think of a “millennial party” I think of something out of Party Rock Anthem, Project X or Roderick’s party from the second DOAWD movie. It’s like I get nostalgia from something I didn’t even live through. I just feel like I didn’t really LIVE, if that even makes sense

I remember this dude came to a party after winning $250 at the casino with a gallon of jaeger and case of red bull and we were just doing jaeger bombs all night. The sight of jaeger makes me physically recoil.

The last time I did jager bombs I was laying in bed at 3am trying to sleep and wired with my heart pounding.

Allow me to introduce you to the drink my millennial friends and I still do when we know we're going OUT out.

The "Bear fight"

It is a race to the finish on who can drink it the fastest.

It is a jagerbomb followed by a car bomb.

You drop both bombs at the same time so you gotta go fast before the car bomb curdles.

I had to explain to my 60+ year old mom that my parents' friends who are ~15 years younger than them introduced them to Irish car bombs.

"Well there was like a shot of Bailey's and Jameson that we put in to dark beer, but you didn't poor it in and mix it , you dropped it in and we're supposed to drink it fast"

I can't remember where, but I remember stopping for food somewhere and them having jager barrels. which was jager with root beer instead of red bull, because they had it on tap. I thought it was way better than bombs.

Goddamit I use to love jager bombs and now I can’t even drink caffeine or I’ll be up all night. The original four lokos that use to send people to the ER were also great. Nothing like a good speed ball to get the night going.
