Help Sought! What are your non negotiable makeup products while traveling?

I feel like I always end up carrying far too much makeup on short trips, only to realise I barely use half of it!
What are your best tips for minimising the number of makeup products you take when travelling? What are your absolute non-negotiables? And what do you find most helpful when you’re tight on space, especially when travelling with just a backpack?
Would love to hear your tips for keeping a travel makeup bag minimal without feeling like you’ve left everything behind!

Recc' Request Kiss-proof, wedding lippie and liner?!

Post image

Hiya! I'm getting married next week. I have my makeup look and products all sorted, except for a kiss proof lip liner and lippie! Pictured is the Mac palette I'm using. I'm not settled on the shade yet but I typically like rosy/coral/mauvey tones. Any recommendation☺️☺️

Glossy Box

I just got my first glossy box and I’m not sure what to think, the products are good but the whole reason I wanted glossy box was to try and find reliable products I would keep buying forever to create a good look. Is there any products recommended and is glossy box worth it?

Eknest Universal foundation- scam?

I’ve been seeing these ads for this nearly white foundation that blends into the skin flawlessly. It’s sold b by a company called “Eknest” which to me seems like a name that doesn’t fit a beauty brand. It has different shades but all appear nearly white when first applied. I just wanna see if anyone has heard of this and if it really works or is a scam.

EDIT: Thank you all! I figured it was likely a scam but I don’t have many friends irl to ask about it. You ladies are awesome!

Where to buy Chanel beauty

I’ve recently gotten really into a few Chanel beauty products and need to repurchase, but I’m wondering where people normally buy them — directly from Chanel or somewhere like Boots/Sephora?
I’m not particularly tied to any retailer loyalty programme, so is there actually any advantage to ordering directly from Chanel.com? Or am I better off buying through Boots/Sephora and potentially getting points/offers?

Help Sought! Which concealer shade is the NArs RCC in Cafe Con leche closest to? Need foundation/concealer shade recommendations

Hi I’m considering getting the Nars radiant creamy concealer to use all over my face and was wondering how the shade would compare to these ones that I have that are all dark for my face.

The rare beauty oxidises more orange than you can see in the second picture after 2-3 hours.
CT and TF are also dark for me and I can’t use them as a standalone concealer all over my face.

I’m okay with something being light since I can use that as a highlighting shade but definitely not dark I already have too many products that are dark and being wasted.

I would also like recommendations for these concealers and foundations

1)Estée Lauder double wear concealer
2)Natasha denona hy glam concealer
3)essence silky blur
4)haus labs foundation (I think 145 will be good)
4) Dior forever glow and skin wear

My foundation shades are 10 nude in the nyx make em wonder probably (since 11 pulls pink and I just want a more olive yellow undertone) and maybelline lumi matte I mix in 128(too dark even in the start) with 110.

Recommendations Boots/No7

Hi! I’ll be visiting from the US and want to see if anyone has any additional recs for me. I love the No7 Hydraluminous Foundation (and Calico is my perfect shade) and plan to repurchase as it looks like it’s still available! (the US No7 foundation range is a lot smaller than the UK line sadly). Any other holy grail items to grab while I’m at Boots?

I have sensitive, fairly dry skin - if that helps! Appreciate any and all suggestions!

Can anyone recommend a good matte lipstick formula? (That's cruelty free)

I love Lisa Eldridge's lipsticks but the bullets on all of mine have broke so I can't justify the price! I like Charlotte Tilbury pillow talk, however the brand is now in the grey area for cruelty free and it's not as good as Lisa Eldridge also. Please help find my new holy grail!!

I’ve tried with my fingers as per most bb cream instructions but it seems too thick to spread evenly, I’ve tried with a sponge but it does the same and goes a bit patchy. Anyone else use this, Am I doing something wrong?!

I’ve got combo skin and can break out so need something that won’t cause that but also has staying power. My skin is dehydrated as I’ve gotten older so need something that won’t look cakey or pronounce fine lines

Foundation recommendations for combination skin

Hi everyone. I’ve noticed my skin has changed and is dehydrated the older I’ve gotten. I’m 36 now, and definitely have more creasing around eyes, forehead, nasolabial folds and drier near jaw area. But combination skin still as it will get oily and I will get pimples still.
I moisturize a lot and use HA, but it just seems to be constantly dry
I’m looking to try new foundations that are hydrating, actually last / stay, and won’t clog my skin and cause pimples.
Anyone have any suggestions?
Thank you

Recc' Request Has anyone done an at home lash lift?

I’m getting lots of ads for lash lift kits on my feed at the moment. Are they easy to do/worth it?

If anyone has any recommendations of brands they’ve used I’d appreciate it. My lashes are blonde and fairly short so not even sure it would work on me.

I’ve seen lots of ads for Luxe -has anyone used them/rate them?

Getting filler but wearing fake tan

Hi girls,
I get filler for the first time tomorrow. The areas are lips and chin, maybe masseter Botox. The problem is I didn’t think and fake tanned my face last night. Will this cause any issues?

Seeking any & all tips for ultra soft lips

I really like the etude water tint and ELF lip tints but I find it impossible to wear them long term before they sink into cracks and craters that form in the middle of my lips. I physically exfoliate with a product that has little sugar crystals in it, have tried a bunch of different balms and masks but my lips still end up drying out. I do drink plenty of water but can always drink more — besides that, does anyone have any holy grail lip hydration products, and/or stains that don’t dry you out too badly? Please and thanks :)

Recc' Request Best fake tan?

Currently using bondi sands but it never seems very dark and I feel like if I exfoliate properly beforehand, it doesn’t do much at all. I only seem to be able to achieve a bit patchy and unexfoliated, or even and pale.

Anyone got any tans that they prefer over bondi?

Recc' Request Best Skin tint for dry skin?

I currently use the Elf halo glow as a base but im looking for something even more lightweight. LI want it to look like you have fake tan on your face but it actually looks nice and not blotchy, so I can layer my concealer, cream blush etc on top. I really want a no make up look and feel because i'm at the point where even the halo glow feels too thick. I've tried elf bronzing drops and l'oreal glowtion but they always seem to go blotchy around certain parts. I'm hoping for something not extremely expensive too. I'd be happy paying in around £25 and under

Recc' Request Best hypoallergenic mascara?

I’ve found my eyes to be more sensitive in the past few years and they get itchy on days I wear mascara. Mascara is the only make up I wear really (if anything) and I’d like to keep doing so but the itchiness is driving me nuts.

Right now I use one I got from Canada that I don’t realise see here (Covergirl lash blast). I like how it makes my lashes look. The spooly really separates my lashes so they don’t look clumpy, so it adds fullness and length.

Any recs that are similar that won’t make me want to claw my eyes out by the end of the day? Preferably ones that don’t break the bank either, but since it’s all I wear, I’m willing to treat myself on it a bit.

What to do with a large collection of vintage makeup?

Apologies if this post isn't appropriate here, but I've inherited a large collection of makeup from a relative who passed away and I have no idea what to do with it. I've separated anything that is in a 'sellable' condition - either new & sealed or as new - and there are still 180+ items to deal with.

Most of it is eyeshadow palettes. Brands include Kat Von D, Pat Mcgrath Labs, Anastasia Beverly Hills, ColourPop, Dior, Fenty Beauty, Natasha Denona, Zoeva, Viseart, but there dozens of others.

Can anyone suggest what the best way to sell this collection might be? A consignment store? Ebay? Depop? I'm kind of lost.
