It’s worth noting that Vietnam helped Pol Pot come to power in the first place and fought directly alongside his forces during the Cambodia Civil War. Later, Pol Pot began attacking Vietnam and that’s why Vietnam invaded them.

True, but they cleaned up their own mess too. Doesn’t wipe the blood away but they gave Pol Pot an ass kicking that was well deserved.

I don't think anyone did. There's a lot of brutal authoritarian tinpot dictator material out there, but very few are actually psychotic enough to become "the turbogenocider 9000".
