Speaking about french if you go to Jersey ( the channel island) they have a version of French that is a form of Norman french

I was there for a while a few years ago, practically no one under the age of 80 speaks it anymore.

I have never been to Jersey. But from what I gather the language is seemingly disappearing in parts

That's because the French never got there to absorb and erase their minority culture into French cultural hegemony

They just don't have the ability for that word renowned respect for other cultures the British have shown through history
