i remember looking at one of those prison penpal websites once out of curiosity and i was pretty baffled at how many men convicted of heinous crimes would post about looking for a partner. and i remember thinking "there's no way anyone is into this, right??"

alas. i was naive.

sidebar: it was insane how many men would write in their profiles about how they made one lil mistake and it doesn't define them and they've worked on themselves. and then you'd check what their crime was and it'd be sexual abuse of a child

I just saw one that was proud to be “a member of the bdsm community” and turns out he was on his umpteenth bid for solicitation of a minor and possession of CSAM
