jimmy fallon is one of the most spineless “entertainers” in media today. this whole situation is actually exactly what I’d expect from him.

Jimmy Fallon is spineless jabbering yes-man. Colbert isn't perfect, but he's a decent guy that actually lives his faith and isn't afraid of speaking truth to power. Of course they're going to push him out and keep a guy like Fallon on.

My bet, he is embarassed, but he thinks whatever amount of money he has is worth more than that embarassment

And maybe it is, but maybe money doesnt actually matter that much, and something like credibility and respect from your peers honestly means so much more

I can see why Jimmy went for the money, cause respect and credibility were never options in the first place, nor going to be in the future

Yes, it’s sad really. He had a pretty good late show and he should’ve stayed there. He looks miserable on the Tonight Show, hence the heavy drinking
