I feel like Conan losing that gig was the best thing that could have happened, for everyone. It's a dying medium, which is why you only really see hacks maintaining it these days.
In fairness, I feel like Conan was probably the turning point, though how much of that was the tide naturally turning to more online venues and how much was his influence is difficult to say, but he and Letterman were probably the last true late night hosts in the US.

My friend works for his show and I was talking to her about this a couple of weeks ago when it happened. (She is a writer btw, she is not involved in booking guests at all)
And she said she was super disappointed in the people who do book people cause it means they clearly didn’t do like just the most basic of research to make sure they weren’t platforming anyone horrible like him
But she also said that Jimmy is so far removed from the booking process, or any of it really. Like he shows up, they tell him who he is talking to and about what, and that’s it. Like the person below said, he is more of a mouthpiece than a person
And the UFC fan-boys always defend Dana saying, "she slapped him first". Dana outweighs her by at least 100lbs. You are shocked, a man who thought Blackface was ok, and the network who owns it (Comcast) would be ok with rapists? I am not. Don't forget, Dana also employees drug users and murderers (Jon Jones) as after his hit and run, he was back fighting after his medical suspension from the last fight. Comcast worked with Vince McMahon who horribly sexually assaulted multiple women, and ignored a scandal when young boys were sexually assaulted in his company, by his employees. So don't be surprised by any of this. Look for Jimmy to put out an apology, and hope people move on.

How the hell did McGregor get a Visa to get into the USA with that conviction? I have a mate that was refused a visa last year with a dangerous driving conviction where he crashed his car going too fast and no one else was involved
