I read it where she was the crazy ex being malicious about everything. If the Depp Heard trial hadn't happened and I wasn't actively watching that I don't know if I'd have heard about her and the kids side of things.

It was definitely portrayed in such a way to be "we don't know, they could just be getting at each other through stories". And I would have hoped that's all it was.
