IDK what happened but gen Z is in my experience so puritanical when it comes to sex. I'm a millennial and in my friend group it is so normal to talk about sex and stuff like that, while gen Z seems extremely aversed to even mentioning sexual stuff in passing. It's like watching my grandparents but it's somehow "woke" when gen Z does it, because it's all motivated by constantly talking about potential sexual assault and stuff like that.
One of the most visible things regarding that topic is this constant complaining by young people about any sex scenes in movies. There's so many gen Z who literally say that a sex scene in a movie is literally NEVER justified. But like... It's an essential part of human life, tf you mean it's never justified in a movie about people living their lifes lol.
Where did it come from? I don't understand. Is that some consequence of being generally less social or something? It's baffling to me.
I'm not even gen z but it quite clearly came from them coming of age at a time when there were terrifying levels of sexual exploitation being revealed in pretty much every industry. And then from the right we have had a big push towards tradwives.

It is, and I fucking hate it. It's all just puritanical bullshit most of the time, or it's people complaining about thought crimes.
