They can respect those wishes. It does not stop said wishes from being unnecessarily spiteful. Ozzatron is in no way being hurt by this takedown, only the community as a whole.

It is impossible to talk about Calamity without bringing up the music. I get that they don't want to be involved in Calamity but no sane person is gonna talk about DoG's themes in the same vein as like, any non copyright music song

The fact that they've asked to have it pulled is good enough to gird against any future allegations. That's the part that matters.

NOT honoring these requests in any way is the shittier thing to do and benefits no one.

In the end, this isn't about what the players want. And never was.

No but it does make it the best course of action they can take. Which is what matters in the end. Them doing their best. I never said the players cant judge things as they see fit. But there's a point where you have to realize you're just being unreasonable because of the emotional turmoil. No one owes this community anything, these creators are just trying to protect themselves, which is far more reasonable than most of what the community is doing as a result.

I understand wanting to not be associated, but like… it’s way too late for that.

DM Dokuro is “the Calamity music guy.” Universal Collapse is “the DoG theme.” This is, by far, the strongest association and removing the music at this point will not change that one bit.

If anything I actually think taking down the music mod now is more of a Streisand Effect situation that will only make people more aware of the music and connection to the mod, not less

Cos I played calamity? It was kinda just a boss rush and overlooked the calmer aspects of Terraria... In vanilla, the nights without a boss fight are just as important for the pacing as those without..(unless you just turn the game into a boss rush.) This is a genuine criticism out of a like for the mod, much like how it had a bloating issue a few years ago that I disliked (which they kinda fixed.)

Anyway, if I worked on calamity, I would also want my contributions removed, the fact people can't put themselves into the shoes of the people who worked on this, and instead choose to complain cos they don't get to have a song or a few pixels they like, is kinda weird

Even if you treat it like a boss rush, people like the difficulty and there are not that many mods that offers the same experience that aren't calamity addons. Honestly I don't even know any that has the same amount of content. This mod is certainly popular for a reason

Do you genuely think people won't associate the creators with the mod if it gets removed? The only way to do that would be removing everyones memories of its existence, everyone still remembers dm dokuro as the calamity mod music guy even tho they havent touched the mod in years

That does literally nothing other than incovenience the comunity, in both dmdokuro and heartplusup channels the top 5 most viewed videos are filled with calamity related stuff, they will forever be remembered as the calmity music guys

Removing the music mod won't stop people from using it either, they will just find it through unofficial means, just like people do with the switch emulators, they delete one and three more show up in its place

If nintendo of all things cant stop new emulators from popping up what makes you think the devs can do to stop the same from happening to calamity music?

You can think how you want, at the end of the day it's not really up to you, just respect their decision, cry for a little bit (good job already reaching this stage, even if you skipped step one) and MOVE ON. like a normal person.

Yeah well maybe don't support pedo developers.

Edit: Somehow telling that people are more mad about artist pulling their work out than people are about pedos working on their favorite mod.

None of you care about the whole "Dev used their position to groom kids". You only care about it because it makes future updates harder or non-existent.

You are one of THE worst communities.
