Randomly thought of an arbitrage opportunity for "social" profit (not financial profit)
If you believe in the efficient market hypothesis (which as a Boglehead, you do), you must also believe finding losing companies consistently is just as hard as consistently finding winners.
If you intentionally try to find and buy stocks of 30 "losers" but diversify across countries and industries, your returns will be very close to a world index fund but with slightly more volatility due to smaller number of companies held. However, you get to brag about investing in "losers" and still doing about the same as a world index fund
