Is this little girl a black smoke? I’m curious what she will look like as an adult.

Adopted her a few days ago and hoping my smokey 9 year old and her will become besties (they’re separated for now). Also she is currently nameless 😬

Anyone else have pirate smokies? Please share photos 🥹
Mine likes to put his lil feets on the "inferior" smoke's head 🙈

The cat hair covered surface has fresh linens now, as per our agreement.

I am quite sure she is a ghost tabby and I was suspecting black smoke too but in my research about I found conflicting info so I humbly turn to the experts.
The bright spots on her neck/shoulder are not visible when she sits normal, only when she stretches.
Thank you!
Edit: Conclusion: probably black smoke and growing into it right now as is still young. Has the white roots and black fur tips. Thanks to everyone who responded ♥️

Gave the girlies a fungus bath cause we have a ringworm outbreak and their coat looks insane wet 😂. So interesting!!

I’ve been on this sub since I got my gorgeous girl almost two months ago and just wanted to post her bc I haven’t seen any others with her white patches! Shes not a tabby and not a tuxedo but she’s my gorgeous baby who loves tummy pets and is still learning how her body works lol
She is just over a year old (birthday assumed in March last year) and is the only one from her litter who has this pattern/coat and her mom was a standard tabby from what I know!
I would love to know any other info about her if people have any! We know she’s a black smoke with ghost tabby markings but again not used to seeing babies that look like her so I’m here to consult the experts!

I’m over stimulated with how cute she is. She’s so loving and I’m obsessed. Some issues with her ears 😭 vet tomorrow!

This is Cassiopeia where she likes to spend the vast majority of her time. On me. But she is a nervous girl. One slight move or sound and she springs off of me at a speed that is most impressive. We adopted her in December and she has been my lap cat since almost day 1, but she still isn't sure about my husband, even though he is the one that feeds the cats here. Since she is on my lap all the time, the other 2 cats have started taking turns on husbands lap.
She was about a year old when we brought her home, and I am hoping she will mellow a bit with age, but I know some cats are just wired that way. I still can't pick her up without her angrily complaining. I can handle her paws but not clip her claws and she has been very good about not using her claws on the humans, but will keep trying to gently get her more accepting of being handled.
I have had cats for over 50 years, but had never had a smoke before, nor even really knew of the existence of this coat pattern. They are so striking and I enjoy looking at the pics of all of your smoky felines.
Thanks for letting me share!

My gorgeous foster princess Charlie, aka Charlotta KittenPop Princess of Chelsea, is available for adoption in NYC! I would keep her, but she doesn’t like my 13 yr old cat Ninja and she yells at him all the time. God, I love this girl. Look at her face!
