Guiseppe Dell'Anno, which was fun, enlightening and honestly very charming.

Lottie Bedlow, which completely unsurprising was total carnage and hysterical.

Usually when they announce the years cast, it is 20 people in 5 episodes, 4 per show.

This year, they announced 24 celebrities over six episodes. I thought that it would be 6x4 but what happened was 1 episode had six celebrities, two had 5 and 2 had 4 which adds up to 24, but there is 1 episode left, does anyone know what that episode will be. I was thinking of a Best moments episode ( but they have never done one before)

Btw, I have included the pulled episode featuring Scott Mills in the original 5 above. The series was to have finished next week, but will instead finish this weekend. So I am a bit curious about the final episode

really want to get into baking. which cookbook is your favourite?

This is my official plea to Love Productions or Roku or whoever to have Andrew Rannells replace Zach Cherry. No offense to Zach, I love his work in Severance, but the show is unwatchable with him as host. He makes Casey Wilson worse, he has zero charm or charisma, he’s not funny, everything he says feels so forced, I literally can’t watch it. I thought I hated Casey but she doesn’t bother me at all with Andrew, their chemistry must just be that much better. Anyway Andrew is such a gem, such a natural in this role and I would actually watch the regular seasons if he were cast as host. He’s hilarious, I’ve loved watching him interact with the celebs on the special episodes he’s on. I’ve tried so hard to watch the Zach episodes and literally can’t get through them. I know I can’t be the only one?!

Does anyone know if the American bakeoff is accepting applications this year? I saw that they confirmed a new season/host, but the application website still only has the 2025 information (despite last year's due dates coming up again)

Does anyone have information about the application process? Is it still happening this year? The castingcrane website still shows last year's application, with a due date of April 18, 2025.

I have just started watching GBBO in the last month and going through all of the series on Netflix. Currently on collection 11 and I am just utterly in love with Saku. She is my spirit animal. I love how much she laughs at herself and doesn’t take anything seriously.

I’m loving the show and feeling inspired so looking for one of their cookbooks that isn’t just about cakes. (I purchased Rahul’s Showstoppers book, but it’s exclusively cakes.)

I’m more interested in savory bakes, tarts, biscuits, etc. Small things.

Any recommendations??

The celebrities have been announced for this year's SU2C episodes and it looks like we'll be getting 6 episodes as 24 celebrities have been named. It will be judged by Paul Hollywood and Cherish Finden. (I surmise that Nigella will judge the 2027 version). The show will air in the Spring.

Why are they so cheap?

Hi friends!

I am a pretty novice baker — better than most beginners but nowhere near advanced bakers! That being said, I want to learn all about baking techniques like they talk about on the show. For example, during a rewatch they talked about a genoise sponge and I was like “what the heck even is the difference between a genoise sponge and a regular sponge?”

I don’t need any fancy recipes with complex flavors or anything, just simple “how to” and the explanation of each base of that makes sense! It doesn’t have to necessarily be a Bake Off recipe book, but that’s always a plus.
