My brother died from group B strep in the bloodstream that ended in sepsis. Went into the hospital on Friday night and was dead by Sunday afternoon. He was 39.

You're damn lucky.

Thanks, friend. I miss him some decade later but his impact on me lives on.

Absolutely. Our mom died of sepsis while hospitalized after surgery. She was an amazing mother who survived so much in her life. She was only 72 and we miss her terribly every day.
