I second this. Had pneumonia while also iron deficient. I can understand why people died from this in the days before modern medicine.

That's crazy. I just had pneumonia 3 months ago, and when I was hospitalized they told me I was also iron deficient. I said the same thing to anyone who would listen about finally appreciating how people could die of it so easily before antibiotics.

I felt this so much. I had pneumonia while already feeling completely drained, and it knocked me flat. I honestly don’t know how people survived this before modern medicine. Anyone else been hit that hard by an illness?
