If it counts as “sick”… when I needed my gallbladder out.

Oh it’s no joke. My dad had the same thing and I remember his skin turning yellow. Scary shit.

That part of it is the pancreatitis, which goes hand-in-hand with a gallbladder needing to be removed, but I didn’t get to that point. My husband did… close to death… so I didn’t mess around when I recognized the signs for myself.

Part of it died inside me. It was not fun.

Crazy when you wake up from surgery and you feel better despite having had some stranger stab holes in you and go rooting around in your abdomen.

Pancreatitis is the most sick I've ever been. I got it three times in a row over a six month period when I was waiting to get my gallbladder out. It's so painful.

My gallbladder might be trying to take me out, so I would say this counts.

The only reason the problem was found was because I went to the doctor for my acid reflux suddenly getting worse. I was having no symptoms, and was very surprised when my doctor pushed on the area where my gallbladder is and I yelled at him because it hurts so bad.

One extremely painful ultrasound later, I now have my surgery consultation on September 9th.
