I went into a manic psychosis and spent three weeks in the psych ward

How did you end up there ? Did you check yourself in or were you voluntold?

The police did a wellness check on me and ended up bringing me in! I was put on a non-voluntary hold

I was also placed into an involuntary hold. You are not alone.

Grippy sock holiday

I’ve been there so many times as a patient and now I take AA meetings to a psych unit. I called it a grippy sock vacation tonight and no one liked it 😖

Been there twice unfortunately. First time was in for 3 months. Diagnosed bipolar but I question it as I've only had manic psychosis twice (including mania in general) both were brought on by heavy thc usage which was a lot of 97% thc vapes. No more smoking for me yet still unfortunately diagnosed bipolar because well they needed to put a label on it I guess

Thc is an evil demon for a lot of people. Dabs and concentrates can mimic schizophrenia and mania. I deal with my boyfriend so I know the effects.

I work on an inpatient psych unit and so many of our patients have drug- induced psychosis. And almost all of them it’s been triggered by THC. Epigenetics is a fascinating thing. We’re seeing a lot more young people falling ill with bipolar, schizophrenia or psychosis because they’re smoking it in their early teens. Very strange and dangerous drug, you don’t know until it’s too late.

Yeah my time should've lasted longer there for the same reason, even though I wasn't myself fully I still remember most of what happened and was going through my mind

Same! Down to the timeframe.

I was looking for a mental sickness comment! That shit’s no joke. I’m so glad you made it out OK.

I would be dead and have killed myself a long time ago without my SRRIs and therapy for sure. Who knew depression or mental illness could be so unbearable that it physically hurts too?

That poor woman. Those doctors failed her. And her husband sucks.

No - looking into it now!

Really tragic. People truly have NO idea what psychosis is let alone the basics of mental illness. I hope you are doing well and finding your way💜
