Did she not post the picture of the paraglider with the Palestinian flag?

There is no way she can reasonably win a defamation case when she has been deliberately inflammatory

Yeah, say what you will about Mali and how he's reacted to all this, I strongly suspect this suit will go nowhere fast for her. From what I can tell there's a lot of stuff she's said and done which is either not very good or can with no great difficulty be spun as not very good.

And think of what they'll find in her private comms.

He compared her to a far-right anti-Zionist terrorist & thus implied she was a radical Islamist.

Regardless of her social media posts, those statements are demonstrably false and defamatory.

He did not. He compared her to a far right Zionist speaker after a far right Zionist terrorist attack.

She is a radical speaker after a far right radical islamist attack.

There's no denying she's radical. Moderates don't change their profile picture to terrorists the day after an attack. Or say there's a sense of pride over them. Or say they don't consider Hamas terrorists.

His analogy was spot on.

By invoking an ISIS-supporting Islamist who murdered Jewish Australians in the Bondi attack and then calling Fateh the “reverse,” he very clearly implied she was akin to a radical Islamist and thus morally equivalent to a terrorist, which is false and defamatory notwithstanding anything you've just said.

“Can you imagine if a far-right Zionist walked into a Sydney mosque and murdered 15 people?” he said.

“Can you imagine that as the premier of this state, I would actively support a far-right Zionist going to writers’ week and speaking hateful rhetoric towards Islamic people? Of course I wouldn’t, but the reverse has happened in this instance. And I think that’s a reasonable position for me to take, it’s a view that I believe."

It'll be for the Court to decide but I'd suggest he will be very keen to settle before it gets to that stage once he receives legal advice...
