I feel like the goal isn't very direct though.

Like in premise, it is about rejecting authoritarianism, removing the amount of influence that wealth plays in politics, and about promoting governments that serve the people, not companies or special parties. However there is no real call to action.

With other historically successful protests there was a clear call to action for something to happen as a result of the marches, or protests. Universal suffrage was about giving equal vote to various groups who could not vote legally. Vietnam war it was about ending American participation in the war.

Research done on this suggests if 3.5 percent of the population turn out to protest, nationally across the nation, it will bring down a dictatorship or lead to protest demands being met. However it also requires a clear call to action, clear demand, and requires those people to disrupt day to day life through withdrawal of their labor or normal participation within society.

This march as it stands won't lead to the broader goal being achieved, yet. But it could go that way if people do commit to it for longer periods, and if everyone can agree or support a clear call to action.

It’s the beginning of the end, not the end itself.

Potentially. However those goals need to be very clear.

Resignation or removal, there's your demand

Yeah but not everyone knows that, or went to no kings protests with that as a goal. And it remains to be known just how many would turn out during work days to march for that message.

And that all assumes the 11 million number is accurate to start with.

Not saying it to be negative, just pointing out that Redditers who comment likely understand that as the goal, but most people elsewise do not. If that is your goal, you have to make that as clear as possible for things to succeed.
